Appointment System

We operate an appointment system – one patient per appointment. Please call to book or use our online system via the link at the top of this page.

Telephone Advice

If you wish to speak to a doctor or nurse the receptionist will advise you. It is essential that you tell the receptionist briefly about your problem and your telephone number.

Urgent Appointments

  • These appointments are booked on the day over the phone, our phone lines open at 8am
  • Phone or visit us to speak to a receptionist during our opening hours: Monday to Friday, 8am to 6:30pm

 Routine / advanced appointments

  • Book an appointment online via Patchs (we will respond to these requests within 1 working day) or the NHS app
  • These are telephone or face to face appointments that are booked for a later date and depend on what we have available.
  • Phone or visit us to speak to a receptionist during our opening hours

Nurse Appointments

  • Nurses appointments include: spirometry, diabetes review, asthma review, smear test, baby immunisations, (travel) vaccines, echocardiogram (ECG) and blood tests.
  • For any of the above appointments, you can call us on 0161 667 6609 between 11am and 6:30pm or visit us at the surgery.

Children Under 12

Any appointment requests, for children under 12, will be reviewed by our team on the day.  We will then offer you an appointment if necessary. We may re-direct you to a different service on the same day

Home Visits

Home visits should be requested before 10:30am. The doctor will assess the urgency of the visit and you may be given advice on the telephone

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

If you can't keep an appointment please cancel it as soon as possible.  Below are the ways in which you can cancel your appointment:

  • Reply CANCEL to your reminder text message
  • Use the NHS app
  • Phone the surgery on 0161 667 6609
